Notifications

CareLaunch provides a configurable notification system that delivers updates through multiple channels based on user preferences.

Overview

The notification system enables you to:

  • Receive updates through multiple channels (Email, SMS, In-App, Push)
  • Configure notifications per event type
  • Manage preferences through a simple interface
  • Stay informed of important system events

Notification Settings

  4. Browser Push Notifications: Receive real-time alerts even when the app is not open

Configurable Events

You can enable or disable notifications for these events across any channel:

Template Requirements & Delivery Safeguards

CareLaunch notification channels that rely on templates now use a fail-safe behavior when a template is not configured.

Missing Template Behavior

If an event is configured but no template is assigned:

  • Email/SMS reminder sends are safely skipped (no partial or malformed send)
  • A warning is logged for administrators and support teams
  • Delivery status metadata is updated where applicable (for example, invitation error details)

This prevents noisy failures and makes delivery issues easier to troubleshoot in reports and logs.

Invitation Failure Reason Consistency

For invitation flows, failure reasons are stored in a human-readable format (for example, No email template configured) so downstream dashboards, filters, and UI displays stay consistent.

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
  2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu

  • Check that your browser is not in "Do Not Disturb" mode

Permission was denied?

  • You'll need to manually enable notifications in your browser settings
