Home Customization & Account Settings
CareLaunch lets administrators tailor the home screen to the widgets that matter most, and gives every user a single Account Settings page for personal preferences.
Customizing the home screen
Administrators see a Customize Home Page control (gear icon) in the home page header. Opening it brings up the customization dialog, where widgets are organized into two lists:
- Active Widgets — the widgets currently shown on your home screen. Drag a widget by its handle to reorder it, or use the remove (−) button to take it off the home screen.
- Widget Library — every widget that is available but not currently active. Use the add (+) button to place a widget on your home screen.
To find a widget quickly, use the Search widgets box, or filter by category using the chips at the top of the dialog. Widgets are grouped into four categories:
- Communication
- Clinical
- Productivity
- Admin
Use Save Changes to apply your layout, Reset to Defaults to return to the standard arrangement, or Cancel to discard edits. Your layout is saved to your own user account, so each administrator can keep a personalized home screen.
Available widgets
The widget library includes:

Some widgets appear only when the relevant feature is enabled for your organization or when your role permits it, so the exact set of widgets available to you may vary.
Account Settings
The Account Settings page consolidates personal preferences in one place. Reach it at Settings → Account (/settings/account). Settings apply to your own account and are grouped into three sections:
Appearance
- Interface Theme — choose System, Light, or Dark.
- Color Theme — pick from CareLaunch's named light and dark themes.
- Snow Effect — toggle a falling snow animation.
- Celebration Effects — toggle confetti when you complete tasks.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Command Launcher (⌘K / Ctrl+K) — quick-search patients, navigate, and run actions.
- Keyboard Shortcuts — enable or disable keyboard shortcuts throughout the app.
Profile
- Edit Profile — jump to your user profile to update your name, contact info, and preferences.
Workload by owner (Dashboard)
The reporting Dashboard (/dashboard) includes a Workload by owner widget that breaks down tasks by owner, showing open and completed task counts along with a capacity view. Use it to see how work is distributed across your team at a glance.
