ROI & Business Value

Understanding the return on investment (ROI) of CareLaunch helps healthcare entrepreneurs make informed decisions about their practice infrastructure. This guide covers the tangible and intangible value CareLaunch provides.

The dollar figures below are examples. Substitute your own hours, visit volume, and tool costs. They are not measured CareLaunch results, and the product does not include an ROI calculator.

Calculating Your ROI

Time Savings

The hours below are an example for one small practice. Self-scheduling, automated reminders, digital intake, checkout, one patient record, and built-in reports are the product features behind the example.

ActivityTraditional ApproachWith CareLaunchWeekly Savings
Appointment scheduling30 min/day manualSelf-scheduling2.5 hours
Appointment reminders15 min/day calls/textsAutomated reminders1.25 hours
Patient intake20 min/patient paperworkDigital forms3+ hours
Payment collection10 min/day follow-upsCheckout at booking50 min
Data entry30 min/day across systemsOne patient record2.5 hours
Report generation2 hours/week manualBuilt-in reports2 hours
Total Weekly Savings12+ hours

At $25/hour, that example is about $300 a week, or about $15,600 a year. Use your own wage and hours.

Revenue Impact

These are examples of how a practice might use its own visit volume. Automated reminders and checkout are product features. The percentages are assumptions, not measured CareLaunch results.

Fewer missed visits

  • Example: 100 appointments a month at $150, and 15 fewer missed visits
  • That example is $2,250/month, or $27,000/year

More visit capacity

  • Example: 5 additional patients a week at $150 is $3,000/month

More of the billed amount collected

  • Checkout collects payment when the patient books or finishes a step you require
  • Example: 5% more of $50,000 collected in a month is $2,500. Financial reconciliation shows paid, pending, failed, and refunded amounts so you can compute your own rate.

Patients who stay

  • Self-scheduling, messaging, and a branded portal are the features patients use between visits
  • Retention and lifetime value are figures you measure for your own practice

Cost Reduction

Software Consolidation

  • Replace separate scheduling, video, messaging, forms, and task tools with one subscription
  • Typical savings: $110-380/month, the separate-tool range in the cost comparison
  • On a plan that includes email and SMS campaigns (the campaign builder on Enterprise, or the earlier Campaigns page on Practice), a separate marketing tool at $20-100/month can be retired as well
  • CareLaunch does not replace an EHR subscription, and it does not lower Stripe's card rates. Checkout uses the practice's Stripe account. CareLaunch adds no fee.

Reduced Administrative Staff

  • Automation can reduce administrative support a practice chooses to hire
  • Example: $2,000-4,000/month per FTE a practice no longer needs. This is not a measured CareLaunch result.

Tracking in CareLaunch

CareLaunch reports cover operational counts, registration, payments, and reminder delivery. The Reports menu is hidden on the Solo plan. Patient satisfaction, Net Promoter Score, and a single no-show rate or collection rate are not built-in reports. Appointment status includes no-show, and financial reconciliation lists paid, pending, failed, and refunded amounts, so a practice can calculate those rates from its own export.

  1. Open Dashboard and use the Overview tab for counts and trends (patients, appointments, form responses, and tasks)
  2. Under Reports, use Financial Reconciliation for payments, refunds, discounts, and exceptions such as completed work with no payment
  3. Use Appointment Reminders to see which reminders were scheduled and delivered
  4. Export a report when you need to work with the rows outside the product
